The GE MDS EDGE-U is a flexible, compact low-power unlicensed wireless solution engineered to meet the demands of modern embedded wireless networks. The EDGE-U™ series offers exceptionally low power operation in a small form factor suitable for a wide variety of applications.

Exceptionally long range capabilities ensure the lowest possible cost of infrastructure, and international certifcations…. a variety of frequencies ensure ease of deployment around the world. And the ability to handle a variety of sophisticated protocols ensures that you can simplify your wireless network while simultaneously increasing it’s basic capabilities.

The GE MDS EDGE-U™ utilizes FHSS (Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum) in a number of frequency ranges within the ISM Band to provide reliable data transportation at high data rates. Secure wireless operation is ensured, with multiple layers of protection, including physical layer, 128-bit data encryption, two-way authentication and dynamic key rotation. Industrial reliability is built in -- the platform is designed and built for extremely low failure rates and reduced maintenance costs.

Note: Embedded remotes require an Access Point (AP) in the system.
