MDS P70 Product Overview
The MDS P70 Packaged Radio System is a weather proof NEMA 4X Corrosion Resistant Cabinet offering integration flexibility and protection for your GE MDS communication system. Its modular design allows room for two GE MDS radios, power supplies and customers’ RTU or PLC equipment, greatly simplifying installation and therefore reducing deployment time and costs.
The P70 package includes a 24 Volt power supply for powering RTU equipment. Also includes an automatic low voltage disconnect to protect the battery, mounting plate, and RS-232 interface connection for I/O equipment. Internal chassis is 19" rack mountable (minus the lightning protectors). A 12 Volt battery back up, internal heater, and bulkhead mounted lightning protector are optional.
Configurations possible: Duplex or Spread Spectrum Radio Repeater, Tail-End Link, Duplex Remote, Redundant Remote or Master Station Configuration.
