Point-to-Multipoint

Point-to-multipoint networks include a single access point radio and several remote radios that 'talk' to each other. An example of this is seen in police departments. An access point is attached to a tower or another elevated position, and each police cruiser has a remote radio. The access point relays information to and from the remotes in the cruisers and the dispatch center.

Point-to-Point

These systems are ideal for applications where data will be transmitted to and from fixed locations, as in a campus setting. In the past a wired solution would work here, but wireless networks from GE MDS allow more cost effective benefits.
