Blanket SRO Number Option
Blanket SRO Number Policy
Customers with higher volume servicing needs may take advantage of GE MDS Blanket SRO numbers. Blanket SRO numbers eliminate the need to call for an SRO number each time equipment is returned for service, upgrade or conversion. A Blanket SRO number can be used for all instances of equipment returns over a specified period of time.
Blanket SRO Number Procedure
To set up a Blanket SRO number, and/or to renew an existing Blanket SRO number agreement, the following information is required:
- Customer Contact Person
- Customer Contact Phone Number
- Shipping Attention (if different from Contact person)
- Billing address
- Shipping address
- Blanket PO # (for our f warranty services)
The above information items must remain consistent for all returns during the Blanket SRO agreement period. When shipping equipment back for service, customers must reference the Blanket SRO number on the outside of the package and on any paper work sent with the equipment. Customers must also provide details on the equipment being returned and the reason(s) for return including:
- Equipment Quantities;
- Equipment Serial Number(s) & Model Number(s);
- A description of any failure mode and/or related information;
- Or, Any instructions for required upgrades or conversions.
