Warranty Overview | Non-Warranty Overview | Extended Warranty Overview GE MDS offers a number of Product Services including a Standard Product Warranty, LEDR Product Warranty, additional Extended Warranty options, and supplemental Non-Warranty services. These warranty services will be offered to the extent that replacement materials are available. Warranty Policy exceptions may be based on the following:
GE MDS may either repair or replace at its option, any component, which fails during the warranty period. GE MDS product warranty coverage does not include product conversions. All products, which have completed GE MDS warranty and Non-Warranty servicing, are covered under warranty for an additional six months from the date of the return SRO shipment. This six-month warranty only covers the actual service performed, which is documented in the initial SRO service record. Specific Warranty Exclusions are defined later in this section. The standard cycle time for Warranty, Non-Warranty and Extended Warranty product servicing is eight (8) business days for Non Tier 1 customers and five (5) business days for Tier 1 customers. Standard 8 Day, 5 Day or Expedited (3 Day) service cycle times cannot be guaranteed for quantities exceeding ten (10) units. For quantities exceeding ten (10) units, the remaining units will be logged in on the date the first 10 are due, with the cycle time being 8, 5 or 3 days. All service pricing is in US dollars and the flat rate does not include sales tax, duties, shipping charges etc. Flat rate pricing is for service only. GE MDS reserves the right to modify service pricing, as business conditions dictate without advanced notification. All warranties may be excluded, contingent upon improper use of the product. GE MDS warranties will not apply:
Including the warranty period, GE MDS agrees to service its products and maintain pending parts availability of components and materials, an inventory of spare and servicing parts for the Product for a period up to five (5) years. The Warranty period commences from date of shipment and is defined per the following Standard Product Warranty Certificate and LEDR Product Warranty Certificate links:
It is the Customer's responsibility to return, at its expense, any product to GE MDS, which may require services. The Customer must obtain a Service Request Order (SRO) number and shipping instructions from GE MDS, prior to returning any product. Freight charges for the return of the product to the Customer will be paid by GE MDS. GE MDS Warranty coverage includes freight expense only. All other associated shipping costs (i. e. customs clearance, duties, etc.) are the responsibility of the customer. For OEM products not manufactured by GE MDS, the original manufacturer's or licensor's warranty will be assigned to the Buyer to the extent permitted by the manufacturer or licensor and is in lieu of any other warranty, expressed or implied. |
